“What do you have for breakfast?”

Alex

“I’m a fan of cereal, with the odd toast and boiled eggs scattered in there."

Euan

“For my breakfast I tend to have a spliff and a green tea”

“What's you favourite part of music production?”

Alex

“For me, the best part of music production is the initial spark, the initial idea that triggers excitement to develop the rest of the piece. In terms of music itself, I’m a large fan of any random synths, and layering them to create different sounds.”

Euan

“My favourite part of music production is the recording, I actually hate everything else about it and find it extremely tedious".”

“What was your biggest challenge with this project?”

Alex

“My biggest challenge was definitely finding instruments that would match the unique story, and creating the specific atmosphere required.”

Euan

“The biggest challenge has been trying to match Alex’s standard! I might have him with the end credits but his title track is outstanding so I’m happy to have not overcome him in that department.”

“How did this compare to your work on Lift-Off?”

Alex

“While lift off had a very specific astro/space theme, which allowed me to draw on many similar tracks and composers such as Hans Zimmer for inspiration, Sourdough gave me much more creative space. While this is very nice to have, it left me a little stuck for what to do at the start of the process.”

“What would be your dream project?”

Alex

“My dream project would honestly be very close to Lift Off, writing music for any film with a sci-fi theme where I can play around with synths and simultaneously orchestral instruments is where I thrive.”

Euan

“My dream project would be to live in a big isolated house, somewhere extremely peaceful and away from things, with a few friends and to just record whatever we write for a week or so.”
